Inspection of water installation

The purpose of inspecting appliances connected to the drinking water network is to guarantee the quality of drinking water in your home or building, and to protect the public drinking water network.

During the inspection, the inspector checks whether the correct safety devices and non-return valves are correctly installed in the system. Connections to rainwater or other alternative water sources are also checked. It is essential that there is always a strict separation between tap water and non-potable water.

An inspection is mandatory in the following cases:
- new installation;
- in the event of significant changes to your installation (new bathroom, new rainwater tank);
- when recommissioning after closure;
- after identifying a breach or after carrying out remedial measures following a non-compliant inspection.

KPM is authorised to carry out class C inspections. This includes the inspection of all appliances intended for normal domestic use, including in a non-residential environment.

The following applications fall under class B or A:
- a break tank (B);
- an automatic fire extinguishing system (B);
- a private swimming pool (B);
- a public swimming pool (A);
- process water in a company (A);
- water installations for agriculture (A).

KPM guarantees a correctly performed inspection, with expert advice for any improvements.
